Certified Digital Finance Practitioner course overview

The Certified Digital Finance Practitioner program is a newly established certification built to support the emergence of a profession in digital financial services. The 3-year program will provide professionals with the solid foundations and continued learning to ensure their success in this rapidly evolving industry.

Why do I need a certified finance practitioner course?

This certification has been developed for professionals who wish to formalise their career in digital financial services. The certification also supports organisational training and professional development goals, enabling individuals, teams and leaders to develop a stronger, more unified understanding of digital financial services. Organisations with key goals related to digital financial services and financial inclusion are strongly encouraged to enrol.

Following completion of this 3-year program professionals will have an integrated 360-degree view of digital financial services and an understanding of the different business models and use cases for digital financial services globally. The CDFP certification will offer professionals the opportunity to specialise in digital finance related topics and deepen their skills in specific verticals that suit their career path.

What is a digital finance practitioner?

A digital finance practitioner is a qualified professional working in a relevant role within the field of digital financial services.

DFS, or digital financial services, are any financial services that are available through digital channels, and includes payments, credit, savings, transfers and insurance.

Fintech, or financial technology, refers to any digital technological tools or business models used to support the delivery of financial services.

Financial inclusion is a key part of DFI’s agenda and refers to the goal of ensuring that all people, especially marginalised groups, have access to the financial tools they need.

A virtual classroom is a learning environment that only exists through a digital platform and that allows students to participate regardless of their geographic location. All DFI’s courses are delivered in a virtual classroom.

Digital Frontiers Institute (DFI) is a digital education provider designed to prepare professionals for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in a rapidly changing economy.
